What better way to celebrate National Bike Month than challenging your coworkers, friends, and family to explore the many reasons to ride. While many Bike Month events are now rescheduled to September due to COVID-19 health restrictions, we're staying close to home and minimizing our transportation to the usual spots. Conversely, these circumstances actually underscore the benefits of riding and provide even more of an opportunity to discover a new reason to bike.
We hope everyone chooses to make riding their bike a new lifestyle change! Live, Love, Bike!
Benefits of Cycling
There are many benefits to cycling. Cycling is mainly an aerobic activity which means that your heart, blood vessels, and lungs all get a workout. You will breathe deeper, perspire, and experience increased body temperature that will ultimately improve your overall fitness level.

· improved joint mobility
· decreased stress levels
· improved posture and coordination
· strengthened bones
· decreased body fat levels
· prevention or management of disease

Be an Advocate of Change: Challenge Your Friends, Family to Ride
While Bike to Work Day is postponed, you can still get your family and neighbors on the bandwagon to increase their ride time or even join the National Bike Challenge that runs now through September. Start the movement with a few neighbors or ask your coworkers on your next Zoom call. Make it a goal to increase participation each year. Fun is contagious. Make it a celebration and reward those who participate or reach certain distances. More people may join in if an incentive is offered beyond just the amazing feeling they’ll have after their ride!
